Although I did not say mention anything about this story, but then I wrote this story on my free time.I am writing this story based on the classic Cinderella tale, and it is about  Cinderella living  in our life! This story is going to be under the ‘Fairytale Retold’ category! Hope you enjoy it!

                                                      A Modern Cinderella

I am sure that everyone knows the classic Cinderella story but I am sure that none of you know what the little glass slipper princess is doing now…

‘It is late already! Ella, you need to rush off to meet your client!’ Ella’s mom shouted at her. ‘A minute please!’ Ella replied. This is Ella. Our main character in this story. ’You are always so slow! You are the reason that I am always late for work.’ Ella’s mom told her as the boarded her car. After a while, the finally reached their destination. ‘Bye mom!’ Ella said as she rushes to the restaurant where she agrees to meet the client there. Because of Ella’s sweet talk and quick thinking, she managed to close the deal in just half an hour.

Ella called a taxi and went straight back to her work place. As it was the end of the month, there was always a meeting held to announce news and updates about work. ‘Where’s Ella? Sandy, did you told her the meeting is at 9am?’ The manager asked. ‘Yes, I did, Mr. Tan. I did told her it was 10am… no, I mean 9am.’ Sally replied with a smirk on her face. ’Well, in any case, lets start the meeting without her.’ Mr. Tan said angrily.

Unfortunately for Ella, the meeting had ended. ‘Miss Sandy, I thought you said the meeting was at 10am?’’ Ella said. ‘No! I said it was at 9am. Maybe you had a hearing problem. Well, let me fill you in: Congratulation, your quota has been the top for 5 months in a row. Mr. Tan is also utterly disappointed in you fir being late for 1 year of meetings in a row. He also said that he would be retiring and would be picking another manager tomorrow! Well, if you want to get picked, I have an idea! Picked any 50 contracts from the table there and you must close all the deals in just 1 day and I am sure that you will be selected for the job!’ Sandy said and she just walked off to her office. Ella thought about how she worked sp hard and never had a promotion for years and it was maybe because of Miss Sandy! She might just give it a try to get a promotion. Ella picked 50 nearby contracts around her work place.

At first, she needed 30minutes to close her deal but now she only needed 10minutes to close a deal! It was the next day, Ella had yesterday closed 50 deals and true enough Ella got the position. After a month of Ella being the manger, the company had already become a listed company. And as Ella always said ‘If there’s a will, there’s a way’.

This is Ella and her story and so it continues.
